WebCD Globe Creating a WebCD readme.txt

Depending upon the types of WebCD users you have, you may wish to include additional instructions or suggestions to a readme.txt in the root directory of the CD-ROM. Place the readme.txt at the application level to use the readme for all projects you create or at the project level to use the readme for a single project.

Application Level readme.txt

Inserting the readme.txt at this level makes it a part of the setup for each WebCD Packager project you create. Place your readme.txt file in the Setup folder located directly below the folder into which you installed WebCD Packager (e.g., c:\Program Files\MarketScape\WebCD Packager\Setup).

Project Level readme.txt

To add a readme.txt file for a single project, place the readme.txt into the project's Setup folder (e.g., c:\Program Files\MarketScape\WebCD Packager\Projects\My Project\Setup). When you perform a build, this file is copied into the Image folder (or whichever folder you specify for the WebCD Viewer image), making it a permanent part of your WebCD master image.
